Very nearly unravelling with all the busy-ness of the past few weeks . . . a deep breath and out for dinner for a languid and leisurely break, and of course, the magical stillness and quiet beauty of these photographs. There is just something about the ocean that has such a calming affect . . .

There is something magical about sitting at the ocean, listening to the waves, so soothing and calming. Love the picture of the birds too!

I count my blessings every day that I live close to the beach. There's such serenity in observing the waves crashing onto the shore, birds diving into the cool waters for their breakfast, the sun peeking through clouds and beaming down on the glistening waves. The feeling of expansiveness as you stare out at the horizon, you feel invincible, as if you can do anything. It's an irresistible feeling!

I hope things slow down for you soon - sorry to hear you've been so swamped! I know exactly what you mean about the ocean :) - you should come visit me in Seattle sometime.

LOVE the ocean too, not only does it bring back fond childhood memories (we had a tiny studio at a beach in Brazil), but the sea breeze, air, waves, soft sand...is so incredibly beautiful, calming & inspiring :)

Hope you have a great weekend ;)

So true. There's something calming and relaxing about the ocean, especially a foggy ocean like these pictures.

These photos make me long for the olden days. I'd love one day in the Victorian era, strolling on the pier wearing a lovely dress and a hat and carrying a lacy umbrella...
Have a wonderfully relaxed weekend!

As long as you don't stand under the birds, the beach can be fabulous :)

Hope you had a nice, relaxing weekend!
