{a winter wonderland}

. . . first snowfall this past weekend and a little more today -- not the deep blowing scattering kind -- but the soft dancing floating kind. . . {the kind that flutters about your eyelashes}

honestly, crisp white and glittery decorations are one of my favorite things during chritmas. they always seem festive, clean, and vintage all wrapped up in one.

Totally on the same page - the first snow flurries made think of Anna Inghardt's dreamy imagery right away!

The wondrous thing about white is its elusion to a blank canvas. Winter is a blank canvas for Spring, who treads softly with pastels. Then Summer builds a bright and sultry hue. After the cooled and tamer tones of autumn follows each a masterpiece differing from year to year to be repainted once again. Its poetic really. This post reminds me of that. Winter. The beginning. White. A blank canvas.

I think my heart actually stopped when I saw the photo with the teapot and sheet canopy! I love doing that with my bed-- cozy spaces make everything feel more warm and intimate. I love your blog!
