{photography: hèrmes + sparkling things}

. . . nearly always with a camera at hand, shooting here or there, moving things and styling things -- and so, was perfectly delighted to happen upon these wonderful close-up shots by kris atomic and her charming collection of sparkling things . . .

oh my - this evokes feelings of wanting to try on my elder cousins clothes and shoes as a little girl. the grand dame of dressing up (hermes) boxes :)

Oh my. This post has just given me a shiver down the spine. The second photo reminded me of the costume jewelery I used to collect as a small child. We used to live opposite a second hand clothing shop and the owner would give me all the small glittery things that would come in. Beaded bags, paste diamonds - things that would be covetable now but were worthless then. I even had a collection of coloured stones wrapped in tissue and kept in a matchbox. I'd forgotten all about these until I saw these photos. Thank you so much.

What a great way to keep jewelry - a colorful Hermes box. The collection looks a lot like my grandmother's. We called it her "dressing up" things. Beautiful pictures!
