{a farewell to wintery things}

. . . and after all the sunny and sun-drenched days, thoughts of wintry things are banished and it's farewell to cozy mohair blankets, tucked away for light and breezy linens, the fallen ashes of fireplaces cleared away for a fresh bouquet or an arrangement of candles for romantic summer nights, or, for a little adventure and all-out glamour, charmingly rustic wood alongside a dazzling mirror ball . . .

Love the magazine stacks in that pic! I have so many, and I've been trying to decide how to display them.

As much I love the next season, I find that tucking away blankets and sweaters the hardest to part with. Gorgeous post x

I love that top image with the big disco ball in the fireplace. Nice chair and great idea for magazine storage, I so need to go to IKEA now and get me a bookshelf.

i love how you can use interior design as an alternative to fashion... i just borrowed one of your lovely photos for a blog post on my inability to wear spring's nude/pastel tops due to ridicule from my bosses!! hope you dont mind--i have linked back to you!

I love so many things about this, not the least of which are the baby photos hung on a clothesline above the fireplace. So sweet:)

Also love the magazine collection.

The white room looks so relaxing. Wish my book shelves looked so appealing.

I feel almost guilty about so hastily putting away the blankets and cocoa and turning off the fireplace. But when spring beckons it makes me giddy!
