{beautiful details: hervé pierre, new york}

. . . always adore the details best -- a perfume collection or the way it is displayed, luxurious bouquets artfully arranged, the books in cases and the photographs and artwork in frames -- these and other personal and creative flourishes tell the most about a place, and few have more glamour than hervé pierre, whose new york apartment is positively overflowing with beautiful details, such as a curtain tieback made from a balmain glove {top}, and a wonderfully intricate and incredibly handmade frame created of paper and cardboard that took two years to complete . . .

I can't believe that the frame is made of paper and cardboard!! That's incredible. I love how the frame is 'framing' 2 other photo frames, very smart!

WOW! I love the two modern frames framed in the ornate frame! Why didn't I think of that? I have a few vintage frames with no glass or backing, I'm not gonna be able to get this out of my mind till I try it! Love, love, LOVE!
