{holiday inspiration: silver & gold}

. . . while may not have had a chance to get together holiday decorations this past weekend {perhaps & hopefully this week}, have been dreaming up elegant colour palettes for the season, and while the last may have been inspired by tiffany's blue, this year, quite smitten with the idea of simple and classic silver and gold, perhaps hints of pearl and opalescence, gilded garlands and glittering sequins, and perhaps, just the faintest glimmer of palest lilac . . .

{p.s.} also lovely: one & two; & how was your weekend? dying to know what holiday colour palettes you've been dreaming up?

{also:} a few things you may have missed:
* weekend: a few lovely links
* at the shops: andrea bonelli, san francisco

* for the holidays: advertising

{& one last thing:}
* now that we finally have a winner for the
philippe starck louis ghost armchair, it's on to the next glamorous give-away {perfect for the holidays!} a little later today -- check back if you like . . . xo

I love these silver decorations. I have always wanted a tree with just silver balls and white lights, but then I would have to say bye to all those sentimental childhood ornaments...

I love all of the gold and silver -- it's far more understated and elegant than the usual red and green. The silver wreath is my favorite.

You have put me in the festive mood and just in time! White and silver trees were the most popular at the Paris show and they were stylishly understated. Happy week.

I love these elegant Christmas decorations - I can only dream of something so pretty. With two little kids in the hosue the more the better and the more colorful the lights, also the better. But they are happy so I let them rule when it comes to Xmas decor.

I love all your inspiration photos...gorgeous. I did an inspiration board with the same colors. My tree is always done with tons of white lights, silver, and white because I like to sparkle like crazy. Colors for Thanksgiving were different set the table in Green this year. You can see both the green and inspiration colors like yours at P&F. Love Love your board. Can't wait to see your decorations.

These are such pretty images. I've always loved gold with white and cream. I remember wearing a white on off-white outfit once with gold and brown accents that got compliments all day. It was one of those looks you just whip together, but I think it was the simplicity of it that made it work.

{Maybe post-pregnancy I'll be brave enough to wear all white once again??!!} ;)
