{décor inspiration: always herringbone}

. . . can never resist a chevron or herringbone floor, especially when mixed with moulding, elegantly panelled walls and beautiful bits of light . . .

{p.s.} more chevron & herringbone:
* all dressed up
* a paris apartment
* perfectly ornate
* all in a day's work
* enchanted afternoons
* a charming mix

Love the floor..and that crown moulding is gorgeous...coincidentally I am working on a post about an abundance of chevron and herringbone patterns that I came across, during my recent visit to the Taj Mahal!

I absolutely love herringbone floors. Exquisite Surfaces (http://www.xsurfaces.com/) has some of the most beautiful examples. I was fortunate to stay in a tiny loft in Paris once that had herringbone floors - rustic and worn (despite the odd splinter) loved them!
