{décor inspiration: always herringbone}

. . . while chevron most certainly comes close, in the end, and from any view point, there is nothing quite like the timeless elegance of herringbone . . .

Timeless indeed....does anyone know where this pattern originated? I saw a whole lot of herringbone and chevron patterns in Persian / Islamic architecture during my visit to the Tajmahal recently. Would be good to know where it all started. xx meenal
