{how to: rose satin & gold glitter manicure}

. . . on thursday night, took a little time to play around with the wonderful collection of nail varnishes scattered about, on powder room shelves and mirrored vanities, for a change, rather than stopping by the salon, and came up with the absolute prettiest combination -- palest pink & flecks of gold, perfect for this weekend's dinners and gallivants around & about . . .

{p.s.} how to : essie first base base coat // 2-3 coats of chanel le vernis nail colour in 463 rose satin [any pale pink or blush should work] // several coats of sephora by o.p.i. gold glitter top coat x

Oh I love Golds! That mirror is truly glamorous! I used gold glittery mani with matte black on the bottom! It's beautiful! Pale pink sounds really beautiful too! I think, I'm gonna go with that this week =)

I love the look of the gold glitter, but when I did my version (3 coats of essie's turquoise and Caicos with the glitter top) it took me around an HOUR to get it off! Saving it for very special events as I don't have the patience for it.

Oh those nails look gorgeous, perfectly luxurious! I was wondering, you used Instagram on the photo? How do you get that "sparkle"/lenseeffect? Looks beautiful!

anonymous -- the gold & turquoise sounds lovely! but oh dear -- hadn't yet given thought to the removal part -- hopefully it's not too painless -- the last time i removed the gold glitter, it came off quite easily, so fingers crossed . . .

Oh no, I think I hit submit too early... in case my comment is gone, I said:

Oh my goodness, Roséline! I've never done a sparkle on my nails before, but I've completely changed my mind now—this is enchanting...

This is the most glamorous diy for nails I have seen—and *darn* I was just at Chanel the other day picking up Particulière and Dragon and lip glosses, but I might go back for this soft color!

Off to email you, lovely lady :) I hope that you are having a fabulous Saturday morning so far...
