{décor inspiration : gracie wallpaper & gilded mirrors}

by roséline

. . . had always imagined the living room would be painted a delicate, utterly romantic and ethereal shade of shell pink, and then came across this room, in palm beach, from the book, the finest rooms in america, and was suddenly swept away, all over again with wallpaper, and the swirling florals -- more romantic, perhaps, than even shell pink . . .

Designer Thad Hayes had commissioned Gracie to replicate the original Chinoiserie hand-painted wallpaper for this 1938 home designed by Marion Sims Wyet.

Those shells on the table are hiding a good 'story' of far away sea adventures... Lovely!
