THIS WEEK'S AT THE SHOPS features the lovely Salem, New Hampshire-based Scarlett Jewelry by artist Melanie Rawding.  With a background in finance and marketing, and years working in the finance industry, the artist quips, "As a little girl I loved sparkly sequins and tutu's.  Had someone told me then that you can actually make a career playing with sparkly things, I don't think I'd ever have even considered doing anything else!  But really, I could have been creative and playing with diamonds all that time instead?"

And of course, it is not difficult to see why had fallen easily and madly in love the delicate and perfectly romantic nature of Melanie's designs -- the hammer textured and hand-forged pieces encrusted in white diamonds and rose gold were impossible to resist . . .

My stack of white diamond and brushed matte rose gold rings are kept in a gilded pale pink enamel music box, a much-loved gift from P's grandmother, a few Christmases ago.  Below, beaded stacking rings & 14k rose gold knot.

"I am the epitome of a girly girl. I love all things romantic and beautiful. My designer eye is always drawn to symmetry and complex color combinations, and I try to keep these two elements in all of my designs."

At the office, alongside roses and pretty pink polish, rose gold rings are the perfect way to begin the work day.  And perhaps, to add to the collection, a few of these terribly chic and dainty white pearl rings.

{p.s.} Diamonds are conflict free, and my stack is available here [or sold individually, if you wish]; chose the 14k rose gold with a brushed matte finish, but the rings also coming in white gold & yellow gold, and in a bright polish finish as well.

how beautiful! I wear a rose gold ring my parents got me before I moved to St. Andrews everyday. It's such a beautiful subtle metal. Will have to keep Scarlett Jewelry in my directory for graduation presents :) x
